From Engineering to PE: The Journey Behind BridgeCo

As a former chemical engineer with a PhD in Mathematics, my path to private equity was anything but conventional. I'm Dr. Akele, and my journey from modeling desalination processes to crafting PE strategies is a testament to my (and now my team’s) passion for problem solving.

My entry into private equity began with a serendipitous stint at a London-based mid-market PE fund. This experience was transformative, teaching me the intricacies of the industry and honing my skills in preparing critical deliverables.

I quickly became known for my ability to create compelling presentations and insightful financial models.

Despite the prestige and learning opportunities, I felt a need for greater autonomy and impact. This realization led me to take a calculated risk – leaving my position to embark on an entrepreneurial venture…founding BridgeCo.

We help MM PE funds to develop better deliverables (investor presentations, overview decks, reporting templates etc.). Over the past year, we’ve been working with funds in the UK and are now excited to branch into the US market.
